shtagoneba.ge

A WordPress site that was lost with no backup, rebuilt from a data export with every Google-indexed page still working.
The brief
The site was gone. No database, no theme, no backup.
shtagoneba.ge had been a WordPress site for years, and Google still sent it traffic. Then the install was lost, with no backup and no copy in the Wayback Machine. What survived was a copy of its public data: 292 posts, 10 pages and 199 images. Google still had 359 of its addresses indexed, and in the 16 months before, those pages had earned 63,463 clicks.
What we built
- Rebuilt it without WordPress. Plain pages: fast, cheap to host, no plugins to update.
- Kept every address. Every old link works again: 340 directly and 19 through redirects. None are missing.
- Restored the content word for word. The articles are the originals. The ten pages were rebuilt by hand with their original text.
- Remade what was lost. 108 article covers existed nowhere, so we made new ones in the site’s own illustration style.
